چکیده
The paper reports on the deep geophysical studies performed by Geological Survey of Russia (VSEGEI) under international project – Deep Processes and Metallogeny Northern, Central Eastern Asia. A model crustal structure is represented a set thickness maps 5400-km long geotransect across major tectonic areas Northeastern Eurasia. An area 50000000 km2 digitally mapped in uniform projection. show Moho depths, thicknesses main units (i.e. sedimentary cover consolidated crust), anomalous gravity magnetic fields (in schematic zoning map study area), types crust. gives vertical section crust upper mantle at passive margin Eurasian continent (including submarine uplifts shelf Arctic Ocean) active eastern continental margin, as well an Pacific plate.

Ecological theory and continental margins: where shallow meets deep.
Continental margins, where land becomes ocean and plunges to the deep sea, provide valuable food and energy resources, and perform essential functions such as carbon burial and nutrient cycling. They exhibit remarkably high species and habitat diversity, but this is threatened by our increasing reliance on the resources that margins provide, and by warming, expanding hypoxia and acidification a...
متن کاملcrustal conductivity structure of a continental margin, from magnetotelluric investigations
the deep internal structure of the crust can be determined using appropriate seismic and electromagnetic methods. the natural source magnetotelluric (mt) method is the most suitable electromagnetic technique for probing into the deep crust. a long period magnetotelluric data set obtained in the southern chilean andes is investigated in this paper. dimensionality analysis shows that the data may...

متن کاملSeismological constraints on the crustal structures generated by continental rejuvenation in northeastern China
Crustal rejuvenation is a key process that has shaped the characteristics of current continental structures and components in tectonic active continental regions. Geological and geochemical observations have provided insights into crustal rejuvenation, although the crustal structural fabrics have not been well constrained. Here, we present a seismic image across the North China Craton (NCC) and...
متن کاملOrigin and evolution of the deep thermochemical structure beneath Eurasia
A unique structure in the Earth's lowermost mantle, the Perm Anomaly, was recently identified beneath Eurasia. It seismologically resembles the large low-shear velocity provinces (LLSVPs) under Africa and the Pacific, but is much smaller. This challenges the current understanding of the evolution of the plate-mantle system in which plumes rise from the edges of the two LLSVPs, spatially fixed i...
